 Rameswaram 

My mind was on Lord Ram and for a strange reason, Rameswaram came into memory. It is on the south eastern coast in Tamil Nadu, and is considered a hotspot for beautiful temples. There are several pilgrimages within the city. 

Puranas 

The literal translation in Sanskrit is old . Even in Hindi, Purana means old. It is believed to be compiled by Vyasa ( the author of the Mahabharata.

Vyasa 

Considered to be one of the Chiranjeevis ( immortals), it puts the timeline of his existence into question. This makes it extremely difficult to guess the date of the Mahabharata. 

Hastinapur

The place where the events of Mahabharata unfold before the War. Hastina menas 'Elephant' while some believe the name comes from King Hasti. The 100 Kaurava brothers were born here to Gandhari. 

Hastinapur 

It is speculated that Hastinapur was situated somewhere around Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
