Wikipedia Trail from Hastinapur to the Tibetian Empire
Hastinapur acts as the Capital of the Kuru kingdom in Mahabharata and where the events of the Mahabharata unfold. I was imagining the story of Ganga and ended up thinking about the city.
Modern day Hastinapur is said to be here. This state fascinates me due to it's sheer population. It is the most populated state/subdivision in the world. It desperately needs to fight with corruption and focus on better education and healthcare.
It is widely spoken in Uttar Pradesh. However is the lingua franca of Pakistan. It is 98% similar to Hindi in vocabulary and they together comprise Hindustani.
Urdu still comprises native Sanskrit words and there have been attempts to purge them out. Sanskrit can be considered the oldest proper language and hence is exceedingly complex to understand at times.
